Medical Laboratory Technician Location: Charlotte, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technologist Profession: Medical Laboratory Technologist Specialty: - Duration: - Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum years of experience preferred License: Associate or bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or related field Certifications: ASCP certification preferred Must-Have: Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and collaboratively Description: Performs laboratory analysis on received specimens. Provides clinical information for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Responsible for overall quality, efficiency, and safety in the performance of assigned technical duties. Demonstrates proficiency and follows testing procedures and policies. Adheres to quality assurance guidelines for equipment and work area. Documents corrective action for any non-conforming events. Prepares reagents and maintains an adequate supply of materials for test procedures. Manages inventory to effectively reduce departmental waste and expenses. Exercises clinical judgment in assessing priorities. Identifies problems and offers solutions to test systems through appropriate department channels. Assists with the review and revision of procedures and documentation related to accreditation. Adheres to all regulatory requirements for various authorities. Maintains clear, real-time communications shift-to-shift and with leadership. Participates in planning and implementing change through participation in meetings or projects. Participates in the competency assessment program when qualified. Works in a fast-paced clinical environment. Works in an area that contains biohazardous materials along with chemical, fire, and mechanical hazards. Duties may involve standing, walking, stretching, stooping, bending, and lifting light to moderately heavy loads. Clinical lab experience is a plus. Commitment to patient safety is essential.
