Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Charlotte, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,765 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: RN - MedSurg/Tele Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MedSurg/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in Med/Tele or Emergency Department License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; PALS and TNCC preferred Must-Have: Trauma experience Stroke experience Cardiac rhythm interpretation Conscious sedation PIV starts Chest tube management NGT placement Drain/tube management Critical care drips Blood administration Description: This position is for a MedSurg/Tele RN. The facility is a Level I Trauma Teaching Hospital. It is a Magnet designated facility. The ED has 43 beds plus 20 boarding beds. Travelers will primarily be hired to cover Med/Tele RN roles. Patients will include those with trauma, stroke, heart failure, and other critical conditions. Patient ratios will be 1:5 maximum, depending on acuity. The role requires familiarity with medications, gtt management including cardiac drips and blood products. Support within the department includes charge nurses, respiratory therapists, and hospitalists available 24/7. The EMR system used is EPIC. Nurses will monitor telemetry and respond accordingly. Travelers must be agreeable to float to other facilities as needed. Weekend rotation is every other weekend. Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays. Requests for time off can be approved up to 6 days, not including holidays. Scrubs must be navy in color.
