If you're looking for an organization that values it's employees, this is your sign to go ahead and apply today!Rewarding pay is based on knowledge, skills, and experience.ResponsibilitiesPrepares a complete financial statement monthly according to dealership guidelines and within each manufacturer's format and time frame. Ensures that all manufacturer accounts, including warranty claims, rebates, interest protection and co-op advertising are current and accurate.Lead, manage and support the accounting support staff to foster an environment of trust, productivity, and accountability.Interprets the financial statement and the daily operating control (DOC) regularly and informs dealer of developing trends.Participates in the preparation of short- and long-term financial forecasts for the dealership.Provides department managers with detailed financial and management reports.Maintains an effective cash management system that forecasts cash funds and makes recommendations for the profitable use of excess cash.Reviews the general ledger and scheduled accounts. Notes any unusual entries and investigates.Reconciliation of general ledger accounts with outside sources to ensure proper bank reconciliation, reserve accounts, factory payable and floor plan payable.Ensures compliance with all applicable government finance regulations, including filing and/or maintaining of required forms, payroll taxes and deposits, income taxes, retirement plan records etc.Administers a loss review program and maintains loss reserves for contingent liabilities and trade receivables.Ensures that all office personnel are using proper accounting procedures and maintaining accurate records and analyses and supervises the preparation of all information for the CPA in order to minimize review costs.Continually strives to improve data integrity and information reporting throughout the dealership.Attends managers meetings.Other tasks as assigned.RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or a combination of education and relevant work experience.Automotive accounting and dealer management system; Reynolds & Reynolds experience a plus.In-depth knowledge and understanding of full-cycle accounting and accrualFinancial modeling experience is highly preferredMust pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screeningValid state drivers licenseA positive attitude and a professional appearanceEmployee Perks (In addition to traditional benefits)Employee discounts on vehicle purchasesTickets to local sporting eventsService Discounts401(k) MatchingPTOWeekly pay for hourly employeesRewarding referral bonus programCareer advancement opportunitiesHealthy company culture that's conducive to professional growthTermsWe are an equal-opportunity employerVann York Auto Group appreciates our employees and invests in their success!
