This position presents a rare opportunity to join a highly visible team at an early stage and grow with the business. Our mission is to help our clients secure their financial well-being so they can pursue long and fulfilling lives.Institutional products include exciting growth markets which enhance retirement security for more Americans through in-plan annuities where Equitable is a leading provider of retirement income solutions in the defined contribution space. Our institutional products also include other traditional markets such as stable value and tailored offerings for adjacent markets like Health Savings Accounts. This team also supports New Ventures projects which looks to incubate and execute new commercial opportunities which can include new partnerships, insurance products, or service offerings.This position is for a product development leader who is commercially-minded and results-oriented to progress product development through any point of the product lifecyle - ideation, partner identification, contracting, build execution, and ongoing management.Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lead development of innovative, competitive and relevant products, with a focus on Retirement, Institutional, and Defined Contribution markets
• Identify and negotiate with existing and new potential partners such as DCIO asset managers and third party recordkeepers to deliver products to market
• Partner with enterprise functional leaders in the formulation of the product to ensure a successful launch
  • Product operations and IT strategy
  • Pricing, Investments, and Financial management
  • Risk and Governance and Compliance
  • Marketing and Distribution
  • Product and Contract Filing (including obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals)
  • Manage a matrix organization of functional experts engaged in product development and product management
  • Create relevant thought leadership insights intended to improve client outcomes and position Equitable as an innovator in the Institutional retirement plans market.
  • Designs and maintains operational excellence for product development
    In office schedule: This team member will be working in the office 2-3 days per week.
    
    The base salary range for this position is $108,000-$160,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities.     • 5+ years of relevant experience in annuity, retirement, defined contribution product development and/or financial services business or operations
    • Experience with Institutional markets such as in-plan guarantees, stable value, 403b, 457, 401k, and 401a markets, recordkeeping/operations and applicable regulations preferred
    • Strategic mindset with emphasis on execution and results
    • Proven leader of matrix teams and projects, and a cross-functional collaborative leader
    • Established project management and managerial skills
    • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills geared to the executive level
    • Ability to facilitate meeting of peers, enable discussion that leads to resolution and communicate results to managementPreferred Qualifications:
