Title: Data & BI Engineer
Position type: Full Time - Contract
Duration: 12+ Months
Location: Charlotte, NC

As a Data & BI Engineer, You would:

Lead and contribute to complex, large-scale technology initiatives within the Trade Surveillance Data Engineering team.
Develop and implement engineering standards and best practices across enterprise-level systems.
Design, build, test, debug, and document robust software solutions.
Analyze and evaluate large-scale data engineering solutions aligned with business and technical goals.
Design ETL workflows to move data from sources such as flat files, JSON, Oracle, etc., using tools like SSIS.
Use tools like Python, SQL Server, Power BI, Autosys (JIL), and SSIS for data engineering and reporting tasks.
Collaborate in Agile teams with 2-week sprint cycles; use Jira for backlog and ticket management.
Ensure system documentation, testing standards, and quality control processes are maintained.
Create and maintain thorough system documentation for compliance and knowledge sharing.
Participate in test plan development and system validation.


The ideal candidate will have:Experience in software/data engineering.
Strong expertise in Python for data transformation and scripting.
Advanced Power BI experience for dashboards and business intelligence.
Hands-on experience with Pyspark for large-scale data processing.
ETL design using SSIS (preferred); familiarity with data pipelines and integration.
Proficient in SQL Server and query optimization.
Experience with Autosys and JIL for job scheduling.
Familiar with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range: $60 to $65 per hour
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
