Job Description Job Description OVERVIEW: Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, and electrical systems in the plant. Other duties as assigned. SCHEDULE: FULL TIME 12 HOUR SHIFTS 2-2-3 SCHEDULE PAY DEPENDS ON EXPERIENCE UP TO $35/HR AVERAGE 14 DAYS OFF EACH MONTH EXENDED WEEKENDS OFF EVERY OTHER WEEK ESSENTIAL DUTIES: ? Inspects and tests machinery and equipment, and follows all preventative maintenance schedules. ? Discusses any problems with the machinery or equipment with managers/supervisors. ? Dismantles defective machines and equipment. Installs new or repaired parts. ? Follows all safety procedures and policies. Must be able to operate with a respirator on and maintain cleanliness of all safety equipment. ? Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. Installs and repairs electrical equipment. ? Designs, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic. ? Ability to react to basic system alarms and reset as necessary. ? Ability to communicate and work effectively in close proximity with co-workers to inform them of work-related problems, production updates, and to plan, organize, and complete job tasks. ? Physically move carts, pallets, and toolboxes from one area to another in order to perform necessary repairs or replacement of parts. ? Regular and consistent attendance. ? Agility in multitasking in a fast paced manufacturing environment. ? Follows all company policies, procedures and safety rules preventing on-the-job injuries by maintaining a clean safe operation and work area. ? Maintain a clean and safe work area. ? Understand and support the Quality Management and Environmental Management Systems. ? Support continual improvement initiatives. ? Support JSOX compliance. ? Overtime as required to meet customer demands. ? Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: 1 year certificate from a college or technical school; or 3 You should be proficient in: PLC Troubleshooting Skills Equipment Troubleshooting Electrical Troubleshooting Skills Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills Hydraulics Experience Troubleshooting Industrial Automation Equipment PLC Programming Experience Experience in a Manufacturing Environment Machines & technologies you'll use: Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) (Fanuc, Omron, Panasonic, Schneider Electric, Beckoff, Modicon, B&R Industrial Automation, Sigmatek) Servo Motors
