DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:The Program Services Director provides senior level leadership and oversight to all aspects of the program and staffing of the client services programs of World Relief Triad. The director has responsibility for oversight of client services.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Missional and Office Leadership:Embody the mission, vision and values as leader and an example for staff, volunteers, clients and the communityActively participate in the setting of office-wide policy and procedures, leading organizational initiatives and strategic planningAssist the Office Director and other leaders in the setting of the spiritual tone and environment for the office, encouraging prayerDemonstrate a strong focus on cross-program and cross-office integration to meet program, staff and community goalsIntegrate volunteers, church partners and community members into all aspects of workProgram Development and Planning:Identify program needs and establish clear and measurable objectives and goals to demonstrate how needs are metClearly communicate to program staff regarding annual or other short term goals and provide leadership in goal attainment, including the celebration of achievementDetermine staffing needs to meet program objectivesHire, train, support, and evaluate management staff for all program areas and other staff as may be requiredFacilitate renewal of yearly grants from state and local agencies, research potential new funding sources, and submit grant proposals and applicationsMaintain and modify program policies and procedures for departmental operationsDevelop and implement systems of evaluation of all program components to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and accessibilityProgram Management:Ensure adherence to all applicable World Relief policies and proceduresEnsure integration of all program components to meet client and organizational goalsEnsure program compliance with various grant requirementsFacilitate departmental and inter-departmental meetingsCoordinate all program aspects as necessary with the World Relief Home Office and its various departmentsDevelop and implement activities aimed at increasing the knowledge and skill levels of departmental management and line staffFinancial:--In conjunction with the Office Director and Finance Manager, plan the annual budget for the World Relief Triad programsDevelop and evaluate sources of additional fundingCommunity Representation / Communications:Facilitate production of communications and marketing materials as relates to Program ServicesRepresent WR at meetings of church and community groupsBuild and strengthen collaborative relationships with community partnersKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:Grant writing/management experience strongly preferredExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsLeadership and creative problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple demands and deadlines with flexibilityREQUIREMENTS:Personal Christian faith and a heart for service to vulnerable peopleCommitted to the mission, vision and values of World ReliefCross-cultural experience requiredBachelor's degree requiredDemonstrated ability to work as part of a team requiredPrevious management experience requiredBasic computer skills required (Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point); other design/marketing skills a plusPHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
