As the Senior Manager, Operations Financial Planning and Analysis (OFP&A), you will be the key finance business partner to Operations site leadership and function as a finance liaison at site, customer and vertical operational levels. You'll assist with developing and monitoring the strategic plan, support various key strategic initiatives within OFP&A team, create data-directed solutions to improve efficiencies, reduce costs and increase revenue. What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Partner with Operations to become a subject matter expect, uncover opportunities, highlight risks and manage financial expectations based on that expertise
  • Work with various business units and glean required data from various disparate sources
  • Ad hoc analysis for operations management and executive leadership
  • Prepare for and attend monthly operating reviews; prepare management and leadership for weekly Executive Leadership Team meetings
  • Run scenario analyses to understand the financial impact of operational changes
  • Ensure profitability targets are being met
  • Evaluate potential return on invested capital for proposed projects
  • Evaluate the work content of operational processes (such as work-center level labor standards) and compare against original assumptions; identify methods to monitor performance against original assumptions
  • Establish and track KPIs to ensure the success of initiatives related to operational performance, labor efficiencies, regional wage analysis, price, automation savings, other cost savings, predictability and forecast accuracy
  • Convert pricing models to operational forecasts, targets and budgets
  • Detect emerging trends and integrate operational intel
  • Develop detective controls and predictive indicators
  • Interpret large volumes of operational data
  • Lead trainings on finance policy and systems
  • Work with HR, Account Management and Operations to set and track targets for pricing and wage increasesWhat you need to succeed at GXO:At a minimum, you'll need:
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
    • 5 years of experience in a financial environment role, including management experience
    • Experience with large databases and the ability to utilize data from various BI systems
    • Knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle), HFM, financial planning software (ePBCS), Microsoft BI and related technologies
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Access)It would be great if you also have:
      • MBA
      • 10 years of experience in financial environment role, including management
