SCOPE &PURPOSEA day in the Life: The Vice President (VP) of
Client Engagement assumes ultimate responsibility for management of
all aspects of a client's business within Targetbase, in order to
deliver projected revenue and profitability in a manner that
generates a high degree of client satisfaction.On a given day, a
Vice President of Client Engagement will spend time:
- Leading efforts to expand existing client business; generating
new strategies, opportunities, and networks for agency growth
- Developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of
Targetbase's offering across communications, analytics,
andtechnology solutions
- Developing strong understanding of clients business, brands,
customers, and competitive environments to contribute to the
development of the most effective business solutions,
communications, and creative strategies that deliver against their
business objectives.
- Proactively offer new ideas to established clients,
complementing and expanding the current scope
- Driving organic growth by seeking opportunities to extend
Targetbase's role across the entire product portfolio, with a
strong focus on communications penetration within existing client
bases
- Identifying and pursuing new project and revenue opportunities
within the Omnicom/OPMG network and sister agencies
- Leading pitches for new business, new clients, and expansion
efforts
- Working with Finance to ensure financial contracts and service
level agreements fairly represent the agency and client
- Attending and fully participating in client briefs, client
presentations, and client research as needed
- Developing periodic, regular client satisfaction surveys to
ensure a formalized exchange of feedback on assigned client
accounts and taking appropriate steps to create a high degree of
client satisfaction
- Building senior-level relationships with clients and being
viewed as an indispensable member of the overall project team
- Contributing to building a positive agency culture while
building positive working relationships with other competencies and
clients; building relationships with each of the competency leads
and teams that will assist in the achievement of successful
projects
- Organizing opportunities for other Targetbase employees to
learn about the activity on respective businesses, focusing on
successes and failuresEXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in a client service role
within consulting, martech or digital marketing agency
- Experience in leading data-driven campaign strategy and
providing senior counsel to clients
- Prior success in complex/highly regulated client accounts
highly preferred (ex: pharma/high-science, financial services,
automotive)
- Mix of Direct to Consumer (DTC) and B2B experience
preferred
- Successful track record of organic growth
- Experience pitching and winning new business
- Able to design and deliver presentations within the client's
brand and at higher levels of the client organization
- Strengths in developing user/target personas and applying
customer journey strategies to enterprise-level client
business
- Innate curiosity, bias for collaboration, and strong leadership
abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint and
Excel
- Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Business, Marketing,
Communications, or Advertising preferredKNOWLEDGE & ABILITYBusiness

- Strong understanding of data-driven consumer journey/marketing,
with the ability to integrate various products effectively
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills,
including effective and active listening skills
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and prior track record of
successfully leading dynamic accounts/business
- Solid understanding of business and current marketplace;
demonstrated fiscal management skills
- Strong track record of organic business growth as well as
pitching and winning new business
- Superior organizational and time management skills with strong
attention to detail
- Able to build strong, long-lasting relationships
- Adept at thinking on his/her feet
- Strong problem-solving skillsTeam Oversight
- A master facilitator of resources; able to draw upon the right
resources at the right time, in order to achieve mandates
- Demonstrates high EQ; skilled at navigating organizational
dynamics with empathy and leveraging strong interpersonal
acumen

- Solid understanding of agency and creative process and
integrated disciplines
- Able to maintain composure in high-stress situations and

area and willing to be onsite in our Raleigh office M/W/F
