About The RoleAs a member of the Global Technology Team, you will
work directly with the SVP & CTO, Legal Markets and the leadership
team, and be responsible for leading a high-impact engineering
organization tasked with developing innovative, customer-centric
products on the Lexis+ platform to achieve strategic business
goals. Key functions include strategic leadership, team management,
product development, and cross-functional collaboration.This role
requires a highly resourceful, self-driven individual with the
ability to partner, execute, and lead through influence and
collaboration across the company to creatively solve problems and
generate results.ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership
- Develop and communicate a clear technical vision and strategy
for new and existing products on the Lexis+ platform.
- Drive the continuous modernization of our technology stack,
ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and industry
best practices.
- Influence the strategy to address internal or external
business, vendor, and regulatory issues.Team Management &
Development
- Build and lead a high-performing team of engineering managers,
software engineers, and technical leads.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous
improvement.
- Mentor and coach team members to grow their technical and
leadership capabilities.Product Development & Delivery
- Own end-to-end software delivery, from planning to deployment
and support.
- Collaborate closely with Product, UX, Data Science, and other
stakeholders to ensure features are delivered on time, on budget,
and with exceptional quality.
- Champion Agile best practices and modern DevOps practices to
optimize efficiency and throughput.Innovation & Technology Roadmap
- Evaluate emerging technologies, trends, and industry standards
to keep Lexis+ at the forefront of legal tech innovation.
- Drive proof-of-concept initiatives, prototyping, and pilot
projects to explore new ideas and evolve the product
roadmap.Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with senior executives across Product, Marketing,
Sales, and Operations to align technology investments with business
priorities.
- Contribute to long-term strategic planning and decision-making
at the executive level.Operational Excellence
- Implement robust metrics, KPIs, and reporting frameworks to
measure and improve the engineering organization's performance.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory
requirements relevant to the legal industry.Requirements and
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science ,
Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of progressive software engineering experience, with
at least 10 years in an engineering leadership role.
- Proven track record of delivering complex, scalable, and
high-availability software products in a global or enterprise
environment.
- Experience with large complex systems operating in a cloud
environment.
- Familiarity with legal tech, content management, and search
