Additional requirements include: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Oncology Nursing Certification preferred. One year Oncology Nursing experienced preferred. Department/Unit Summary You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care, including administering medications, collecting specimens, performing clinical treatments, and assisting with daily living activities such as hygiene, nutrition, and mobility. They closely monitor and document patient conditions, communicate updates to the care team, and respond promptly to changes in patient status by prioritizing urgent needs. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams ensures coordinated care, including transfers, discharges, and addressing psychosocial and spiritual needs. Additionally, they assess and provide patient and family education tailored to specific needs, ensure diagnostic and support service requests are completed, and follow proper procedures for narcotics handling. PRN Tier I (Minimum 1 shift/pay period, 1 weekend shift/month based on staffing needs, 1 holiday/year) Qualifications: About our Health System SOVAH Health - Martinsville, VA is a 220-bed acute-care hospital providing over 22 medical specialties.
