Job Description:
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified Med/Surg RN in Shelby, North Carolina, 28150! Pay

13 weeks Shift: 12hr Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience:
Minimum of 2 years Med/Tele RN experience License: RN
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Basic Med/Tele skillset
including cardiac rhythm interpretation. Experience with
non-titrating cardiac drips such as Cardizem and Amiodarone.
General medical/surgical skillset including care of patients with
tubes/drains. IV start skills, blood products, wound care, and
dressing changes. Description: The facility has 241 licensed beds
and is a Level 3 Trauma center. It is a certified chest pain center
and stroke center. The unit consists of 24 beds with an average
daily census of 24. The unit culture is described as awesome.
Patients present with various diagnoses including cardiac,
respiratory, and neuro issues. The work environment is fast-paced
and involves observation. Patient ratios are RN: 1:5-6 for both day
and night shifts, with a CNA ratio of 1:12. Support within the
department includes a CNA and a charge nurse who may also have
patient assignments but is a resource for staff. Phlebotomy and
IV/VAT teams are available, as well as respiratory therapy 24/7.
Hospitalists are on-site during days, with virtual support in
evenings and overnight. An intensivist is available 24/7. Telemetry
monitoring is conducted remotely with tele tech support. The
electronic medical record system in use is EPIC. IV pump technology
is provided by Alaris, with medication dispensing via Omnicell. All
rooms are equipped with Massimo monitors. Floating may be required
within the region and scope of practice. Travelers may be required
to float to different facilities as needed. If floating mid-shift,
travelers will be paid for travel time between facilities while
remaining on the clock. Orientation includes 2 days of departmental
