Pay Information $2,000 to $2,100 per week About The Position JOB DESCRIPTION RN - PCU ? About Facility: o 58 licensed beds o No Trauma Designation ? Unit Information: o Beds: 33 o Minimum Years of Experience required? 18 months PCU exp o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes ? Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: o Stroke R/O, PNA, cellulitis, FTT, AMS, CP R/O, Afib, COPD, ect. ? Patient Ratios: o RN: 1:5-1:6 ? Required Licensure & Certifications: o RN: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS ? Skills required: o Essential nursing functions, teamwork, communication o Experience with traches, cardiac gtt experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood products, wound care/dressing changes, management of central lines ? Support within the Department: o CNA - ADLs, VS, FSBG, Telemetry/Masimo monitoring, assist with ADT. o Receptionist/HUC – Most day shifts – Call bell and phone call triage, assist with ADT o Charge nurse - mostly without patient assignment o Phlebotomy o IV/VAT Team o Resource Nurse, as staffing allows o RT 24/7Yes o Hospitalist 24/7 - a Mix of in person and Virtual o Telemetry monitoring/tech - Monitored at nurses station and in Central Bunker at AH Cleveland ? Technology/Equipment: o EMR: EPIC o IV Pump: Alaris o Med dispensing: Omnicell o Monitors: Phillips Telemetry o Unit specific equipment: Several fall prevention tools in use, multiple patient positioning tools in use ?
