Job Description:
LifePoint is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a
travel nursing job in Sanford, North Carolina. Job Description &
Requirements - Specialty:OR - Operating Room - Discipline:RN -
Duration:13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift:8 hours, days -
Employment Type:Travel Operating Room RN to join our surgical
services team. This role requires exceptional clinical judgment,
adaptability, and a strong commitment to patient safety and
surgical excellence. Key Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive
nursing care to surgical patients throughout all phases of
perioperative care. - Serve as a scrub or circulating nurse in a
variety of surgical procedures. - Participate in a rotating on-call
schedule (up to 15 call shifts/month), responding promptly and
effectively to emergency surgical needs. - Support team coverage
through float assignments as needed within the hospital. - Ensure
compliance with safety protocols, infection control, and
accreditation standards. - Maintain accurate, timely documentation
and communication with the surgical team. Required Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of North Carolina (or compact
state equivalent). - Minimum of 2 years of operating room nursing
experience. - Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and CPI/HWC/MAB.
- • EHR: Cerner - Demonstrated ability to function effectively in
high-pressure situations and adapt to rapidly changing
environments.
