to find a qualified Pediatrics RN in Charlotte, North Carolina,

Gastroenterology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per
Shift: 8 hours (0800-1700) Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute
care Pediatrics experience; ambulatory clinic experience is
strongly preferred but not required License: RN Certifications: BLS
Must-Have: Required skills include Rapid Strep testing, Flu/COVID
testing, and experience with EMR systems, preferably EPIC. Must be
capable of port access, CVL draws, patient rooming, and providing
discharge education following provider visits. Ability to assist
with giving vaccines/injectable medications is preferred but not
required. Description: Travelers will work in one of the specialty
areas based on job posting. The Peds GI area has 10 exam rooms in
one area and 4 additional exam rooms in another area. There are a
combination of 20 MD/APPs and up to 40 patients per day. The unit
is divided into mini-suites with a nurses station in the middle.
Nursing staff will be working alongside providers in a clinic
workspace. Common patient diagnoses include constipation, reflux,
G-tube care/changes/feedings, IBD, Crohn’s disease, colitis, and
motility disorders. Other patient types include pre/post liver
transplant patients, fatty liver disease, pre/post kidney
transplant patients, chronic kidney disease, adrenal diseases, and
osteogenesis imperfecta. The majority of the patient population
ranges from newborns to age 18, with some patients up to college
age. The role does not require working in triage but may involve
assisting peer RNs with form completion. Support within the
department includes clinical leadership, clerical leadership, and
various health professionals including dieticians and social
workers. The work environment features on-site lab services for
phlebotomy. Additional responsibilities include preceptor roles and
supporting PA/NP students if interested. There is no weekend
rotation and no on-call responsibilities. Schedules will be
provided one week before the contract starts. 5 Benefits of Travel
