Job Opportunity – Pediatric Medical Surgical / Hematology Oncology RN – North Carolina Start Date: February 9, 2026 Location: Charlotte, North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 – 07:15), 36 hours per week, every other weekend required Highlights: Pediatric medical surgical and hematology/oncology patients, ages 0–17 Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6 across all shifts Epic charting system with PYXIS and SBAR protocols Self-scheduling flexibility with 13-week contract option Float opportunities to PICU and NICU based on unit needs 24-hour unit orientation with comprehensive hospital onboarding during week one Requirements: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required Current RN license (North Carolina or Compact state) BCLS and PALS certifications required Chemotherapy administration experience and certification strongly preferred Proficiency in IV starts, lab draws, central line care, and peripheral line management Experience with pediatric step-down/telemetry, pediatric med-surg, and pediatric oncology Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only) Why It's a Great Opportunity: This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young patients and their families during critical treatment phases, from medical surgical care to specialized hematology and oncology services.
