leadership role. Your Everyday Take the lead: manage the
operational and fiscal responsibilities of your department or unit
and initiate processes to assure the highest quality of patient
care using a participative approach to achieving goals. Promote the
mission, vision and values of the organization. Maintain standards
of team accountability for hospital policies and procedures in the
delivery of care. Promote excellence in patient and customer
relations by acting as a liaison and effectively interacting with
physicians, staff, patients, and families. Maintain a close working
relationship with other hospital managers and serve on committees
to provide efficient and safe patient experience. Manage and
coordinate quality assurance program improvement on the assigned
unit. Promote a safe environment and complete safety reports
regarding employee or patient injury and ensure proper follow-up.
Participate in budget planning and manage cost containment
practices. Assimilate evidence-based practices and safety protocols
into patient care and always maintain patient confidentiality.
Update policies and procedures as warranted. Manage staffing:
evaluate staff work performance, coordinate new employee
orientation, and interview, hire, counsel and terminate employees.
The Must-Haves Minimum: Current nursing license to practice in
Louisiana and as defined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
Current American Heart Association BLS certification. 5 years of
experience in professional nursing
