to find a qualified Dialysis RN in Roanoke, Virginia, 24014! Job

RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - EPIC
charting experience required - Experience with adult acute care
inpatient dialysis - Skills in hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis
- Ability to cannulate AV grafts and AV fistulas Description:
Position available for a Dialysis Registered Nurse. Shift hours are
3x12s from 7 PM to 7 AM. Charting is done through EPIC, and
experience with this system is required. Weekend requirements may
include every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week
scheduling block. The facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks.
The nurse must work one holiday during the 13-week contract period.
First-time travelers are accepted. The patient-to-nurse ratio is
typically 1:6. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in
troubleshooting various dialysis alarms and equipment. The nurse
will provide care for patients with acute renal failure/injury.
Additional skills needed include management of anticoagulation and
blood glucose monitoring. The role requires working in a
collaborative environment with interdisciplinary teams. Strong
ability in communication and patient care is essential. Experience
with chronic outpatient dialysis and acute care inpatient dialysis
is preferred. Candidates with a single-state license from a
non-compact state may be considered pending licensure verification.
