Job Description Job Description Temporary Hospice RN – 8-Week Assignment Locations: Forsyth, Davidson & Stokes Counties Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 hours/week Duration: 8 weeks | Start ASAP Mountain Valley Hospice is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a defined, short-term hospice assignment . This role is ideal for an RN who wants meaningful work with a predictable weekday schedule—without weekends, on-call, or a long-term commitment. Position Highlights $50/hour (non-benefited) Monday–Friday only No weekends. No on-call. Mileage reimbursement at $0.70 per mile 8-week commitment with clear expectations Supportive interdisciplinary team and established workflows What You’ll Do Manage a hospice caseload and provide direct patient care Complete comprehensive assessments and ongoing care planning Provide symptom management, medication administration, and wound care Educate patients and families on disease progression and care needs Collaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, and the hospice team Complete timely, accurate electronic documentation What We’re Looking For Active RN license Hospice or home health experience strongly preferred Comfortable working independently in the field Organized, dependable, and patient-centered This opportunity is ideal for an experienced RN seeking short-term work with a predictable schedule.
