Registered Nurse (RN) | Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Location: Charlotte, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,773 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 26 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Duration: 26-week contract Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years of high acuity Pediatric ICU experience License: RN Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: - Experience in a high acuity, fast-paced environment - EPIC experience - Familiarity with Artic Sun, EVDs, Camino device, Belmont Rapid Infuser - Competence in management of critical care vasoactive drip titration and invasive lines - Skills in aseptic and sterile techniques and basic dressing changes - Ventilator and trach management experience - Proficiency in managing feeding tubes, g-tubes, chest tubes, epidurals, and PCAs - Ability to perform bedside procedures and participate in discharge processes - Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) Description: The unit is seeking Registered Nurses for 26-week contracts. Position may allow for guaranteed 48 hours per week. The facility is a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and a teaching hospital. The unit has an average census of 21-23 patients with 24 total beds. Patient types include respiratory issues, trauma cases, DKA, seizures, and various surgical needs. Patient ratios vary based on acuity, typically 1:1 or 1:2. Support staff includes a Health Care Technician, unit secretary, and a charge nurse available 24/7. There are additional resources such as RTs, intensivists, APPs, and telemetry monitoring. Floating may occur to other pediatric units as needed. Teamwork, trust, accountability, and respect are core values within the department.
