Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active
registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience
required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not
be considered. Deliver specialized nursing care within a
progressive Progressive Care Unit (PCU) supporting patients with
complex cardiac, pulmonary, and post-acute conditions. This
contract role offers the opportunity to work in a well-respected

Location: Gastonia, NC Situated near Charlotte, this area offers a

between work and lifestyle. Core Responsibilities: Manage and
monitor patients with diagnoses such as COPD, heart failure,
cardiac arrhythmias, renal failure, sepsis, and more. Provide care
to patients requiring mechanical ventilation, tracheostomies,
temporary pacemakers, and titratable IV drips. Interpret cardiac
rhythms and perform wound care, chest tube management, blood
product administration, and tracheostomy care. Collaborate closely
with a multidisciplinary team including CNAs, pharmacists,
respiratory therapists, and clinical nurse specialists. Utilize
EPIC electronic medical records, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell
medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors. Participate in
unit-based virtual nursing support for admission, discharge, and
observation tasks. Float as needed within the regional facilities
to support fluctuating patient volumes. Qualifications & Desired
Experience: Registered Nurse with current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
certifications. Minimum 18 months PCU experience, including care
for ventilated/trached patients and cardiac monitoring. Strong
skills in cardiac drip management, blood product administration,
and wound care. Comfortable with floating and adapting to changing
clinical environments. Ability to assist in high-acuity and
multi-patient care settings requiring a 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient
ratio. Additional Details: Schedule: Full-time, contract;
orientation includes 2 days departmental. Scrub color: Navy Blue.
