Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CTICU - Cardiothoracic Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiothoracic ICU position requiring a NC or compact RN license and Level 1 Trauma experience. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Position is in a Cardiothoracic ICU within a hospital setting - Night shift schedule: 7:00pm to 7:00am, three 12-hour shifts per week, with openness to 4 shifts per week at 48 hours - Level 1 Trauma experience required - Patient care focuses on cardiothoracic cases including complex and critical care - Responsibilities include providing competent clinical nursing care and coordinating patient care in accordance with professional standards - Participate in education, patient/family teaching, care assessment, collaborative planning, and complex patient care delivery - Involvement with interdisciplinary team to evaluate and promote continuity of patient care - Must complete required background check and drug screening within specified timeframes /n /n Requirements/n - Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state required - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC required - Minimum of 1 year ICU nursing experience required - Prior experience in a Cardiothoracic ICU (CTICU) or Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) required - Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a diploma, ADN, or ASN /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-673030.
