Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Days, 5x8hrs - Hours: 40 hrs/wk - Start Date: Apr 6, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telephone Triage Call Center position requiring Epic proficiency, a minimum typing speed of 40 WPM, and prior triage or relevant clinical experience. Details - On-site telephone triage call center setting - Handles an average of 90 calls and 170 in-basket messages daily, with approximately 120–150 live calls per day - Responsibilities include responding to in-basket messages and processing refills in addition to live call management - Uses Epic for charting - Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts) - No weekend requirements - May float to Rheumatology triage - 13-week contract Requirements - Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand - Current BLS certification in hand - Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM required - 2 years of recent experience in Triage Clinic, Internal Medicine, ED, or Allergy/Immunology/Pulmonology required - Epic charting experience required - 1 supervisory professional reference from within the last year required for consideration - Full SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information - Manages high-volume call flow and electronic message queues in a fast-paced call center environment - Flu vaccine is mandatory with no exemptions or declinations accepted - Orientations are held bi-weekly - First-time travelers will not be considered for this position - Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible; candidates within this radius are subject to a local pay rate American Traveler Job ID P-680569.
