Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Kings Mountain, NC Agency: TalentBurst, Inc. Pay: $1,858 to $1,876 per week Shift Information: 3 days x 12 hours Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse – Resource Team Job Primary Purpose The Registered Nurse – Resource Team provides comprehensive nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies, procedures, and/or protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader. The RN Clinical Nurse/RT assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner. The Registered Nurse – Resource Team maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the population of patients served. Must be available to provide nursing services in all patient care areas of expertise and knowledge, at all elected facilities. A registered nurse's practice is guided by the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements. Major Responsibilities • Collects pertinent data and information relative to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation. • Analyzes the assessment data to determine the actual or potential diagnoses, problem, and issues. • Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or the situation. • Develops a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes. • Implements the identified plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. • Delegates elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with any applicable legal or policy parameters or principles. • Evaluates progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes. • Practices ethically. • Practices in a manner that is congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles. • Communicates effectively in all areas of practice. • Collaborates with healthcare consumers and other key stakeholders in the conduct of nursing practice. • Leads within the professional practice setting and the profession. • Seeks knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice and promotes futuristic thinking. • Integrates evidence and research findings into practice. • Contributes to quality nursing practice. • Evaluates one's own and others' nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules and regulations. • Utilizes appropriate resources to plan, provide, and sustain evidence-based nursing services that are safe, effective, and fiscally responsible. • Practices in an environmentally safe and healthy manner. • Participate in committees, shared governance, or facility decision making activities, developing and nurturing research to positively affect clinical outcomes and promotion. • Models the Atrium Health mission, vision, and value. • Supports and contributes to the Patient Centered Care Philosophy by understanding that every teammate is a Caregiver whose role is to meet the needs of the patient. Minimum Job Requirements Education Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing. Certification / License Valid, active unencumbered Nursing license approved by the Georgia Licensing Board for GA locations and Alabama Licensing Board for AL locations. BLS required. ACLS required. Work Experience 2 years of nursing experience in specialty area required. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Patient Population Served Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak English in good, understandable terms. Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch. Finger dexterity. Critical thinking and ability to concentrate. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions. Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: o Stroke R/O, Client, cellulitis, FTT, AMS, CP R/O, Afib, COPD, ect. ? Patient Ratios: o RN: 1:5-1:6 o LPN (if applicable): Takes primary nurse assignment (same as RN ratio) o CNA: 1:8-1:12 ? Required Licensure & Certifications: o RN: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS ? Skills required: o Essential nursing functions, teamwork, communication o Experience with traches, cardiac gtt experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood products, wound care/dressing changes, management of central lines ? Support within the Department: o CNA - ADLs, VS, FSBG, Telemetry/Masimo monitoring, assist with ADT o Receptionist/HUC – Most day shifts – Call bell and phone call triage, assist with ADT o Charge nurse - mostly without patient assignment o Phlebotomy o IV/VAT Team o Resource Nurse, as staffing allows o RT 24/7? - Yes o Hospitalist 24/7 – Yes, a Mix of in person and Virtual o Telemetry monitoring/tech – Monitored at nurses station and in Central Bunker at AH Cleveland ? Floating: o Within region and scope of practice o Will be required to float per region needs – will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice – DECLINE if not agreeable ?
