Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Winston Salem, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,984 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/6/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BCLS is required, ACLS and NIHSS preferred Must-Have: EPIC experience is mandatory Willingness to float to similar units as needed Description: The unit specializes in medical-surgical patients and does not accept cardiac telemetry patients. The target patient ratios are 1:6 to 1:7, with a maximum of 1:7 during critical staffing. Travelers will be required to work every other weekend. The staff must adhere to call-off policies, which are strictly enforced. Candidates must pass EKG testing before starting in this specialty. The unit utilizes systems such as Pyxis and EPIC for charting and management. Candidates are expected to have experience with telemetry and management of dysrhythmias. Responsibilities include starting and managing IVs, administering blood products, and providing care for various medical diagnoses. Flexibility to float to other units based on skill sets and census is essential. Candidates will be part of an interdisciplinary support team including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Pharmacy. Must maintain a teamwork approach and adhere to behavioral expectations in all interactions. Travelers are expected to work a maximum of 5 consecutive days and not exceed 60 hours in a week. Pending references are acceptable, but two supervisor references from the last 12 months are preferred upon hiring.
