qualifications will not be considered. Provide pediatric oncology
and hematology nursing care in a specialized acute care setting,
focusing on delivering compassionate and expert treatment for
children with complex diagnoses. This contract opportunity is based
in Kernersville, NC, at a Level 1 Trauma and Academic Medical
Center with a strong reputation for comprehensive pediatric
services. Key Responsibilities: Manage care for pediatric patients
with leukemia, solid tumors, sickle cell crisis, diabetes, cystic
fibrosis, and adolescent medicine cases. Administer chemotherapy
and manage central lines with precision and adherence to protocols.
Perform critical pediatric assessments, utilizing strong clinical
judgment and critical thinking skills. Collaborate with a
multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, phlebotomists,
respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists, ensuring
24/7 patient support. Utilize EMR systems (Epic), Alaris IV pump,
Omnicello medication dispensing, and unit-specific monitoring
equipment. Float between Pediatric Hematology/Oncology (PHO),
Pediatric Adolescent (PA), and other Brenner units except Pediatric
ED. Complete departmental orientation to integrate smoothly into
unit culture and protocols. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Registered Nurse with current licensure. Minimum 1 year pediatric
hematology/oncology acute care experience for PHO assignment or 1
year pediatric acute care experience for PA. Certifications: BLS
and PALS mandatory. APHON and chemotherapy certification required
for PHO. Expertise in central line management and chemotherapy
administration. Strong pediatric assessment skills and critical
