registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years Stepdown RN
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. A night-shift RN opportunity
is available in the Surgical Stepdown unit at a well-established
hospital in Chesterfield, MO. This 13-week contract role requires
36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week with every other weekend
coverage and no call responsibilities. The unit specializes in
post-operative care for high-acuity surgical and trauma patients,
offering a fast-paced environment suitable for nurses skilled in
critical thinking and time management. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct patient care including assessment, planning,
implementation, and evaluation Manage critically ill post-op
patients requiring cardiac infusions, BiPAP, or other stepdown
interventions Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments to
optimize outcomes and comfort Maintain patient confidentiality and
adhere to nursing standards and facility policies Float to other
departments with similar or lower acuity as needed Qualifications &
Experience: Current Missouri RN license or eligibility for
licensure in Missouri Minimum 2 years of stepdown or ICU nursing
experience BLS and ACLS certifications by AHA required Proficient
with EPIC EMR system preferred Comfortable managing 1:3/4 patient
ratios in a 29-bed unit Positive attitude and collaborative team
