Job Description:

Cornerstone Building Brands is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to join its team. The HR Business Partner develops strong partner relationships and a sound understanding of the business and works to ensure that the culture, talent, and business unit structure are in alignment and contributing towards business unit success. This position serves as the HR Business Partner for Engineering and Field Services under the Commercial Solutions Division. The HRBP is integrated thoroughly into the businesses processes and aligns their activities with driving business results.

This position focuses on partnering with leaders at all levels in the organization to help drive the operational, financial, and HR performance of the field, including retention, engagement, and all the other aspects of the talent life cycle. The HRBP is a resource to support and challenge leaders to improve overall performance and drive sustainable growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish a deep understanding of the business, in order to best anticipate and identify issues and drive solutions.
Evaluate the organizational structure and talent of the business unit, to ensure the best structure, process, and talent for growth.
Build the capability of the management and technical workforce through succession planning, developmental plans, training, coaching, and mentoring of top talent.
Drive discussion with leaders to establish a talent bench for critical roles. Lead retention efforts of top talent.
Identify opportunities and work with leaders to develop strategies to attract and retain great talent. Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to identify staffing requirements needed to meet the goals and objectives of the organization
Provide a credible Engineering voice to the COE team on HR programs and initiatives in order to drive outcomes that help the business grow.
Serve as internal consultant and change agent by analyzing current HR programs and recommending solutions
Proactively identify opportunities and assess improvements to the employee experience and partner with leadership to develop and implement innovative and lasting solutions

QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience working with business leaders to evaluate and improve performance, either in an HR Business Partner or Consulting capacity preferred.
Previous experience supporting a technical organization in an HR Business Partner capacity preferred.
Ability to assess, develop, design, and execute organizational structure to best meet the needs of the business.
Strong business acumen and data analysis skills to understand business problems and develop a course of action for improvement.
Work with leaders and associates to get them on board for the change effort and assist them in driving the effort.
Leadership ability and tact to handle difficult conversations with business leaders and associates.
Strong written, training, and oral communication skills, with the ability to partner with executive level leaders.
Results oriented with the ability to collaborate in a matrix organization, prioritize, and provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
Comprehensive skills in current Microsoft Office software.

EDUCATION/ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Bachelor's degree with potential concentrations in Human Resources, Business or related areas and 5+ years of business-related experience
