ensuring the goals of the business are met. The role provides
expertise in the areas of employee relations, workforce planning,
talent acquisition, performance management, integration efforts,
employee retention, coaching/development, conflict management and
ad hoc projects as necessary.The Human Resources Business Partner
will serve as a subject matter expert supporting a high volume,
growing environment and will drive and deliver strategies,
implement best practices and focus on innovation to support the
current and future needs of the organization.GENERAL FUNCTIONS/
OUTCOMES:
- Communicates, facilitates and champions HR programs and
initiatives at the division level
- Assists with the development and implementation of human
resources policies and procedures and assists employees and leaders
with interpretation
- Interacts proactively with leaders to find solutions to
business needs
- Champions and coordinates post-acquisition HR related
activities with a newly acquired company to ensure a successful
integration
- Partners with leaders to manage and resolve employee relations
issues
- Assists the HR Director and Chief HR Officer with talent review
and succession planning for assigned divisions
- Leads the recruitment effort for open positions in assigned
divisions; developing and enhancing recruitment practices by
collaborating with the recruiting team
- Maintains compliance with federal and state employment
regulations
- Maintains and tracks relevant HR metrics
- Maintains and processes all unemployment notices and potential
charges in a timely, efficient manner. Attends unemployment
hearings when necessary
- Reports, maintains and monitors all workers' compensation case
files; follows up on open cases
- Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and makes
recommendations for continuous improvement
- Prepares company-wide OSHA form 300 postings and monitors
duration of required postings
- Ensures employee files remain in compliance with applicable
legal requirements
- Serves as primary point of contact for and manages all leaves
of absences, educating employees and managers on the leave process
and related policies
- Participates in the employee onboarding process
- Assists with the annual benefits Open Enrollment process
- Creates ad-hoc reports
- All other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:
- Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage several
projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet
deadlines
- Builds strong relationships at every level of the organization
and understands motivation and influence outside of assigned direct
span of control
- Presentation and negotiation skills, along with skillful
counseling and coaching and ability to facilitate and arbitrate
through difficult situations with equity, trust and
credibility
- Energetic, forward-thinking and creative professional with
demonstrated high ethical standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations
- Ability to travel to multiple sites when
necessaryEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years HR or relevant experience
- Human Resources certification preferred
