The role provides expertise in the areas of employee relations, workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, integration efforts, employee retention, coaching/development, conflict management and ad hoc projects as necessary.The Human Resources Business Partner will serve as a subject matter expert supporting a high volume, growing environment and will drive and deliver strategies, implement best practices and focus on innovation to support the current and future needs of the organization.GENERAL FUNCTIONS/ OUTCOMES:

  • Communicates, facilitates and champions HR programs and initiatives at the division level
  • Assists with the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures and assists employees and leaders with interpretation
  • Interacts proactively with leaders to find solutions to business needs
  • Champions and coordinates post-acquisition HR related activities with a newly acquired company to ensure a successful integration
  • Partners with leaders to manage and resolve employee relations issues
  • Assists the HR Director and Chief HR Officer with talent review and succession planning for assigned divisions
  • Leads the recruitment effort for open positions in assigned divisions; developing and enhancing recruitment practices by collaborating with the recruiting team
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state employment regulations
  • Maintains and tracks relevant HR metrics
  • Maintains and processes all unemployment notices and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner. Attends unemployment hearings when necessary
  • Reports, maintains and monitors all workers' compensation case files; follows up on open cases
  • Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Prepares company-wide OSHA form 300 postings and monitors duration of required postings
  • Ensures employee files remain in compliance with applicable legal requirements
  • Serves as primary point of contact for and manages all leaves of absences, educating employees and managers on the leave process and related policies
  • Participates in the employee onboarding process
  • Assists with the annual benefits Open Enrollment process
  • Creates ad-hoc reports
  • All other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:
    • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
    • Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines
    • Builds strong relationships at every level of the organization and understands motivation and influence outside of assigned direct span of control
    • Presentation and negotiation skills, along with skillful counseling and coaching and ability to facilitate and arbitrate through difficult situations with equity, trust and credibility
    • Energetic, forward-thinking and creative professional with demonstrated high ethical standards
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations
    • Ability to travel to multiple sites when necessaryEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
      • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
      • 3+ years HR or relevant experience
      • Human Resources certification preferred
