Job Description:

Clean Harbors, a leader in North America for providing essential environmental, energy, and industrial services, is looking for a dedicated Class A CDL Equipment Operator / HAZMAT Truck Driver. This role involves operating specialized machinery and transportation vehicles handling hazardous materials. The position is vital for safely navigating routes, conducting waste pick-ups, and deliveries, along with managing emergency spill responses. Enforce compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, promoting our mission to protect the environment, and maintaining safety and sustainability. Operate Class A CDL vehicles and related equipment efficiently under various conditions. Transport, handle, and deliver hazardous materials in adherence to federal, state, and local regulations and laws. Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintenance checks. Assist with loading and unloading of materials; ensure secure and compliant packaging and signage for transportation. Coordinate with dispatch and compliance teams to ensure all operational procedures are followed. Report issues relating to equipment or payloads promptly. Participate in emergency response calls as part of the spill response team. Maintain clear, accurate logs for operations, equipment maintenance, and safety. Skilled in operating heavy-duty trucks and handling hazardous materials. Knowledge of DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations. Strong navigation and driving skills. Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, moving, and securing heavy load. Basic mechanical skills to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles.
