Manager - Manufacturing Services, Swing Shift (Multiple Positions) What youwill do Letsdo this.Letschange the world. In this vitalrole,you will provide leadership and guidance to the teamin ourManufacturing Services area.The essential positionworksa 12-hour 2-2-3 schedule from9:30am to10:00pmsupporting our critical 24/7 manufacturing operationsincludingRaw Material and Solution Logistics, Weighing and Dispensing, Buffer/Media Solution Preparation, Parts Washer, and Autoclave.As Amgen relies upon the regular attendance of all staff members to meet legitimate business needs,the Managermust be able to work assigned 12-hourshift, including during inclement weather, some holidays and requested overtime in support of our operations. As a member of the Manufacturing leadershipteam,you will work hand in hand with a multidisciplinary team to deliver robust equipment, procedures, and processes tooperatethematerial handlingflow andsupporting equipment. This includes hiring andtrainingtheExternal Workforcerequired tosupport productionoperations of the plant. Leada diverse and impactful teamof External Workersin GMP operations Be responsible forthe safety and quality culture of the department and champion continued improvement Monitor and takeappropriate actionsto ensure adequate warehouse capacity isavailable Oversee inventory control and cycle countprocess Serve as owner ofMaterial TransferEquipment( e.g., preventative maintenance,operability, etc. ) Own and/or provide input and support for quality system records (deviations, change control records, CAPAandSOPs) or other records ( e.g. ,business continuity plan, user requirementspecificationsandrisk assessments) Assess impact of new requirements, changes, processes, regulations to the department Align with the broader organizational strategy and deliver continuous improvement Support regulatory inspections for areas of responsibilities including evaluating complex compliance issues and developing playbooks for the inspections What we expectofyou We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. Basic Qualifications: High School diploma/GED and 12 years of Manufacturing & Operations experience OR Associate's degree and 10 years of Manufacturing & Operations experience OR Bachelors degree and 5 years of Manufacturing & Operations experience OR Masters degree and 3 years of Manufacturing & Operations experience OR Doctorate degree And In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocationorresources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above Preferred Qualifications: Proven managerial experienceand/or proven technicalexpertisein a GMP manufacturing drug substance plantthatutilizesSingle Use technology, Dispensing, Inventory Control ProvenexpertiseinERP-SAP and MES and inventory management Cross-functional work experience in eitherSingle Use Technology, Supply Chain,Process Development,andQuality or Engineering Excellent communicationand change managementskills,withdrive,asense of urgency,highenergyleveland problem-solving abilities Demonstrated ability to forge andmaintainstrong relationships with other functional areas Ability to optimally develop and mentor staffto broadly build inventory managementexpertiseto the internal site teams What you can expectofus As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being.
