Date:March 17, 2021Location:Randleman, NC, USCompany:Dart ContainerDay to Day Role:Follow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirementsFollow practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company quality standardsFollow and commit to safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)Utilize electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and temperature and pressure gaugesPerform analog and digital circuit design by utilizing microprocessor hardware and software configurationsUse Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) including basic and ladder logic to read/write basic wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints in order to diagnose problemsUnderstand precedence relationships (e.g. sequence of events)Lead electrical or electronic projects requiring installation or upgradeCompile documents, analyze test data, and perform electrical calculations to determine the source of problems and the corrective action to take.Maintain and utilize maintenance systems for work orders, breakdown reporting, and track machine modifications.Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipmentDiagnose and repair complex machine and electrical and electronic problems including non-routine electrical issues such as power qualityAssemble component electrical parts per specifications and perform bench testing before installationRead, understand, interpret, draw and update electrical schematics and drawingsPlan layout of wiring and install conduit, wiring, and ancillary electrical equipmentInstall power supply wiring and conduit and troubleshoot issues as they ariseConduct root cause analysis and make recommendationsLead process improvement initiatives and/or cross-functional team projectsServe as a technical resource for less experienced Electricians and maintenance staffApply advanced, complex troubleshootingMay analyze complex control systems to resolve in-depth software/ hardware and configuration problemsTrain other ElectriciansUse SAP for Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Work Order ProcessCore Skills and Qualifications:The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:Seven (7) years of experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical equipment or machinery, or comparable experience with trade school or trainingHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredAbility to read, write, interpret and draw wiring diagrams, schematics and blueprints, and analytical diagnosis of problemsUnderstanding of electrical laws and principles (KVL, Ohm's Law, Power Law, etc.)Thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)Expert knowledge of electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and temperature and pressure gaugesAdvanced knowledge of industrial controls and instrumentationAdvanced mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex problemsAbility to make changes to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) using advanced ladder logic, read/write wiring diagrams, schematics and blueprints, and analytical diagnosis of problemsAbility to originate instruction documents that can be used by other technicians to perform preventive maintenance or verify electrical system operation.Math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and algebraFamiliar with and ability to convert decimals to fractions or vice versaFamiliar with and ability to convert units (imperial to SI, etc.)Must have an understanding of microprocessor hardware and software configurations and be able to perform complex analog and digital circuit designPrior experience using software for Preventive Maintenance (PM) and work ordersKnow how to use Multi-meter, scope, basic hand tools, and portable power toolsAbility to obtain and maintain powered industrial truck (PIT) licenseDemonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issuesAbility to work additional hours including weekends, holidays, and/or overtimePreferred Skills and Qualifications:Associates Degree in Electronics TechnologyApprenticeship training or equivalent electrical trade schoolPrior PIT experience Overview: As the manufacturer of Dart® and Solo® brand products, Dart Container is an industry leading single-use food and beverage packaging company.
