Headquartered in the Netherlands, we are active in over 150 countries and employ around 34,500 talented people who are passionate about delivering the high-performance products and services our customers expect.Job Purpose This position will liaise with Planning Manager, Materials Manager and Production Manager and is responsible for and delivering a production schedule, which meets both the requirements of our customers and also optimizes the factory efficiency. Provide and maintain a schedule / plan to production and all supporting documentation necessary to execute the plan supplying product to customers OTIF (On Time In Full). The Production Scheduler is responsible for putting this schedule together; communicating it and actively helping production execute the schedule.Key Responsibilities Maintain a functional, updated, shared schedule for the site that is used by Production, CS, Pre-kit, QC, Labeling and warehouse on the OneDrive. Orders entered into SAP and Safety Stock driven demand products are scheduled for each respective department based on assets available to produce products needed to fill those orders. Assist with on-time shipments to customer by utilizing production schedule. Inventory health reports, safety stocks and demand settings aide in driving the production needed to fulfill those orders and without producing any additional inventory (SLOB) as much as possible. Organize and level load those products into a schedule, which optimizes the factory efficiency, as well as meeting customer delivery requirements. Any additional unneeded inventory is worked back into batches and is an important piece of our inventory management and SLOB prevention. Rework material working with the RWK department using tools and process provided.Run required SAP reports listed Run ZPRD (Production History Report) downloading into excel format that can be copied and pasted to schedule for updating completed production batches from the previous day. Run ZWSL (Daily Shipping List) downloading into an excel format to manipulate data in a format that newly entered orders will show up and batch tickets can be created based on data. Run CO41 (Conversion of Planned Orders) utilizing data from downloaded shiplist and / or an inventory health report to run the planned order conversion list selecting batches to be produced and converting into production orders. Run ZOVP (Inventory Overage Report) select partials and aging inventory to be reworked into selected batches from CO41. F8 to select and F5 to add to selected batches. Run CO05N (Release of Converted Production Orders) use the variant and enter the department batch tickets that are being released. List of all previously selected batch will come up and Mass Processing is activated. Bulk tickets and fill tickets will print at the same time. Promote quality by doing a complete audit of batch and fill sheets ensuring lot numbers, quantities and customer information have populated correctly and match. Make corrections as needed. A schedule acceptance meeting takes place each day at 11am to discuss the plan, adjust if necessary and a formal agreement is signed. Batch tickets are then distributed to each department. Monitor and process Rushes, schedule breaks, blue tickets, pilot plant tickets and special issues are handled by the manager for approvals and placement in the schedule. Work in close cooperation with Production Supervisors, Demand Analyst, Logistics Specialist to ensure optimized performance of the site. Work with managers to execute and implement process improvements. Participate in the High Point Safety Journey by ensuring compliance in all aspects of safety with all applicable regulations (AkzoNobel and regulatory). Attend and participate in High Point Plant Programs/Committees/Training as required, such as Department Safety, Plant Safety, Behavioural Safety, Housekeeping Audit Teams, ISO, Life Saving Rules or any other safety programs. Actively participate in BBS program in High Point, and all other safety processes. Adhere to the Golden Principle which is "Simply to intervene to stop work if conditions or behaviour are unsafe".Job Requirements High School Diploma with equivalent work with 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing (raw material scheduling, customer service, and/or inventory control). Working knowledge of effective supply chain performance including supply planning, customer service, supplier and asset management. Customer focus, detail oriented Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Good organizational and time management skills Basic leadership and managerial skills Excel skills, formatting SAP knowledge preferred Basic logical decision skills (guidelines are provided as aides) Good communication skills (clearly well defined email messaging) Self motivated (working to improve task profeiciency and efficiencies within the team as well as the entire supply chain team) Must be able to work independently and in a team oriented environment Ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment.Level of Autonomy Mid-level degree of autonomy. Review schedule with Production Manager. Needs to review data and be a self starter for troubleshooting and coordinating with managers. Manage own workload and switch between projects from different departments. Most data and information is set to a standard. Decisions made by the individual scheduler would be which asset best suits the product to be made specifically based on size and technology. Decisions are made when there is a conflict with more than one product is needed to be made in the same asset. That decision would be based on customer and or date of needed material.
