Job Description:

Position Summary: The receptionist is primarily responsible for managing main telephone line and office traffic for the corporate headquarters office. This position will assist other areas of the office to ensure preparedness for day to day meetings, maintenance of supply and break rooms, and performing various administrative tasks as needed for the Culp HR Services and Executive departments.

Position Responsibilities:

* Answer, screen, & transfer incoming calls accurately and in a timely manner. * Maintain visitor log. Greet all clients and visitors that walk into the building and assist in directing traffic or connecting visitors with their scheduled parties. During ShowTime and other special events, provide additional assistance to clients by directing them to the proper showroom. * Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. * Maintain discretion and confidentiality of sensitive HR and Executive information. * Responsible for unlocking/locking doors in accordance with office opening/closing hours. * Maintain responsibility of accurately relaying messages to internal associates. * Monitor incoming packages. Manage communication of incoming packages to office personnel and ensure packages are delivered to addressee. Oversee activity and shipments happening in back dock area. * Keep documentation of delivery slips for invoicing purposes. Attach and return as needed to the Executive Administrator for approval and then to Accounts Payable for payment. * Assist the HR Services department with routine mailings and other administrative tasks including but not limited to anniversary and birthday announcements, new hire package assembly (and maintain active inventory), creating labels, ordering lunches, etc. * Support associates from other departments, e.g., copier maintenance, shipping, customer correspondence, customer visits, including ShowTime. * Manage schedules of the 1st floor conference rooms. * Update automatic answering service as needed for holidays and other office closings. * Administer employment applications for candidates and review for completion prior to interview. (This is when the interview takes place onsite) * Prepare New Hire Packets and maintain readily available inventory to upcoming hires. * Maintain office supply closets, place orders for necessary office materials as needed; stock coffee stations. * Provide back-up support to the Executive Administrator as needed, during times of high-volume. * Comparatively shop and negotiate pricing on office and hospitality supplies. * Serve as building maintenance liaison to the property manager. * Research and coordinate special projects. * Perform all other tasks as assigned, as relative to the role of Receptionist.

Role Qualifications/Essential Skills and Experience:

* High School Diploma/GED required. Associates degree preferred. * 2 years previous experience operating in an administrative capacity preferred. * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively. * Proficiency with operating multi-line telephone. * Familiarity using Microsoft Office applications. * Ability to assess and appropriately shift priorities. * Ability to multitask and handle numerous responsibilities simultaneously. * Strong interpersonal abilities. * Strong sense of professionalism.
