Airy is seeking an Echocardiogram Technologist to join our Team!The Selected Full-Time Echocardiogram Technologist will:Perform ultrasonic examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by the Provider.Performs a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in applying ultrasound techniques for radiologic diagnosis.Responsible for the safety and comfort of all patients undergoing ultrasound procedures.Ensures that all procedures have been appropriately ordered with satisfaction patient identification obtained prior to conducting procedure.Performs all procedures according to departmental protocol.Will need to work independently.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesDedicated to serving Bethany Medicals patients with a professional and respectful demeanor.Perform echocardiography, doppler and color flow on patients.Assist the physician in cardiac echo stress testing.Maintain the GE equipment necessary for all echo testing.Order supplies needed for his/her area.Performs other duties as assigned.This is a Full Time Float position working in the Triad North Carolina areaKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAssociates degree in Echocardiography or a related fieldARRT, ARDMS and/or CCI Registration or registry availableRegistered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification preferred.Current BLS required, ACLS preferredAt least 2 years of experience in a hospital or outpatient clinical setting performing ultrasound strongly preferred.Strong communication skills; verbal and written.Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse patient population.Professional aptitude, presentation and demeanor.About Bethany MedicalBethany Medical (BM) is a multi-specialty medical practice serving the triad and surrounding communities since 1987.
