How You'll Help Transform Healthcare:Carilion Clinic in scenic Roanoke, VA is searching for a Palliative Care APP ( NP or PA)to join its growing palliative medicine program at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, a 763-bed teaching/tertiary referral center with Virginia State-designated Level 1 Trauma Center serving one million people in Virginia. The candidate must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, thrive in an interdisciplinary team environment, and be a strong ambassador for palliative medicine. The candidate must be collaborative and enjoy working in a team-based environment, providing direct patient care. Key responsibilities include being a key member of an inpatient palliative care consult service providing inpatient coverage and managing and supporting patients and families on the inpatient palliative care unit.Carilion Clinic is a progressive, emerging leader in American healthcare dedicated to improving outcomes and enhancing value for every patient, while advancing the quality of care through medical education and research. AHA BLS-HCP certification required. Advanced Life Support certification required. Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Medicine. Capable of meeting credentialing or job function requirements as needed based on the requirements of the practice and of managed care payors and insurers. Qualifies for malpractice insurance and is accepted by Carilion Clinic's malpractice insurance carrier.Other: Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers. Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills.
