Job Description:

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
coordinates activities of workers engaged in installation of subassemblies and assembly of electrical equipment, such as electrical conduit, wire, fixtures, switches and boxes.
Confers with engineering and management staff to establish assembly procedures and production schedules. Interprets and modifies blueprints and wiring diagrams in accordance with NEC Code.
Inspects and tests assembled components and equipment.
Suggests design modifications to assure code compliance, increase product efficiency and production output.
Trains new workers and resolves personnel problems.
Performs other duties as described under supervisor.

Job responsibilities include:
Direct and coordinate the activities of electrical assembly teams at the High Point facility.
Provide leadership support and direction for hourly employees.
Ability to be flexible with daily, weekly, and seasonable demands with multiple priorities.
Constant focus on costs, quality, schedules, and safety.
Coordinate all electrical work with other team supervisors with-in the factory to provide a positive environment. Identify problems and opportunities and implement solutions relating to quality, schedule, safety, and cost improvement.
Measure and report results.
An active (Champion) leader of the plant safety and chemical management team.
Strong supporter of the plant mentoring team, providing leadership and training requirements when requested.
Give input to management for the budget of manpower and training; execute training matrix.
Identify and coordinate an equipment preventative maintenance program.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/SPECIAL SKILLS:
Controls Experience
Big power of 480 volt +
Run Crew of up to 40 men
Electrical Gears Experience
VFD's
Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Plant champion to all three.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to develop employees from within that will become good mentors.
Must be able to demonstrate leadership and coaching skills using sound judgment.
General understanding of products and processes and how to coordinate between teams.
Personal computer skills a plus.
Interpersonal skills for coordinating projects involving multiple people, functions, and teams
Skilled in plant safety and HAZMAT requirements.
EDUCATION:
Electrical Foreman
A four year business management degree in organizational management or a related field is a plus.
A minimum of 3 years experience as a commercial electrical supervisor or in field leadership role a must.
Experience in manufacturing management will be considered in lieu of a degree as determined by senior management.
