NOTICE: Pursuant to 20 C.F.R. § 656.10(d), this notice is being provided as a result of the filing of an application for permanent alien labor certification for the following job opportunity: JOB TITLE: Engineer, Applications Development (.NET) LOCATION: 4043 Piedmont Parkway, High Point, NC 27265 JOB DUTIES: Engineer, Applications Development (.NET) for GXO Logistics Corporate Services, Inc. at its facilities in High Point, North Carolina. Responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining the applications using Microsoft .NET framework along with other necessary combination of technologies. Identify functional, non-functional, system, database, Integration, performance and web-services based requirements, including debugging and troubleshooting existing program code and/or provides support to resolve systems related issues, which can include periodic 24/7 on-call support as required by team's scheduled rotation. Identify crucial system parameters to evaluate the effects of new requirements and create multiple design approaches for implementation and provide estimations. Design, develop and maintain Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Design, develop and test RESTful APIs. Act as part of a cross-functional team in an agile development environment. Research and recommend relevant technologies toward overall technical strategy. Provide guidance on technical tasks, priorities and technical assistance when needed. Mentor developers and helps resolve technical roadblocks, conduct collaborative code reviews, and coordinates the deployment and implementation of software solutions. Available for software releases to production in a controlled, methodical manner, including verification that systems are stable after patch application. Provide technical assistance to the business and technical teams understand problems with software and develops specifications to resolve them; test scenarios on integration, validation and IT verification testing, prepared functional specification documents and technical specification documents; and/or design development, coding, testing, and debugging new software or significant enhancements to existing software for third party customers. Must be available to perform 24/7 on-call duties on a rotational basis. REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or other closely related field. Experience must include three (3) years of post-bachelor's progressive experience in the following: Participate in the entire software development life cycle, debugging applications and configuring existing systems; Participate in client meetings, collaborating with client support managers and development team; Experience using RESTful API design patterns, C#, .Net Core, HTML5 and CSS; Develop and support high-quality API centric software solutions; Application and technical support for heavy volume returns clients; and Experience with code versioning tools (Git, TFS, Azure Devops).
