The Position

This position directly manages the construction, installation of OSP network (poles, aerial, buried, and underground fiber facilities within a specified market area. The Construction Supervisor has direct accountability for overseeing line-crews, splicers, and contract crews all simultaneously while ensuring all OSP construction projects get completed in a safe and timely fashion within CAPEX budget parameters across multiple projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage OSP crews activity to ensure dates and objectives are met
• Ensure OSP crews are following proper safety guidelines
• Ensure OSP crews are meeting NESC code for aerial construction
• Partner with procurement on material forecast and scheduling
• Coordinate with contractors on all permit needs
• Create relationships with local partners Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelors degree in a technical field or equivalent job experience
  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years technical experience working in OSP Engineering, Construction or Operations. Previous supervisory experience or proven demonstrated ability to lead technicians and contractors within a telecom maintenance & construction environment.
  • Key Competencies: Strong understanding of OSHA rules.
    • National Electric Safety Code (NESC) requirements.
    • Federal, and local (municipality) regulations.
    • Must have the ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proven project management skills with ability to effectively manage multiple projects in various geographical areas.
    • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
    • Must exhibit honesty, integrity and courtesy in all interactions.
