accurately. Position DescriptionPosition Summary New River
Electrical is seeking an Estimator to join our dynamic and growing
team. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in reviewing,
analyzing, and interpreting contract documents, including
specifications, drawings, and reference information, to develop
detailed and comprehensive estimates for a diverse range of
electrical projects. This challenging and rewarding position offers

directly to the Estimating Supervisor.Duties/ResponsibilitiesReview
project plans and specifications and confirm complete
scope.Participate in customer pre-bid meetings (in-person or
virtual) and site visits to gain an understanding of project
requirements and site challenges.Identify risk issues and their
order of magnitude.Solicit subcontractor and/or supplier
information and pricing.Meet estimating deadlines working
independently.Perform detailed takeoffs of the labor, materials,
and equipment required to complete the work associated with various
types of electrical construction projects including but not limited
to Commercial, Industrial, and Renewable.Manage flow of bid
information between customers, contractors, vendors,
subcontractors, and operations employees.Create and transmit scope
letters and quotations.Follow up with customers on
proposals.Support project managers with submittals during the
pre-construction phase of projects.Assist other estimators and
project managers on large project estimates.Create project
schedules to define construction workflow and deadlines to meet
customer constructability requirements.Prepare and submit accurate
and professional bid proposals and supporting documentation.Other

with or without notice.Position RequirementsQualificationsA minimum
of 5 years of experience in commercial, industrial, or renewable
electrical field(s).Industrial and/or Renewable construction
experience preferred.Must be familiar with materials and equipment
take-off process.Possesses the ability to perform conceptual
estimates based on specifications.Possesses strong mathematics,
communication and computer skills.Possesses a general understanding
of MS Office and proficiency in the use of Excel.Ability to compose
basic, as well as complex proposals, technical documents, and
formal letters.Ability to make presentations to both small and
large, diverse groups; ability to communicate with clients,
engineers and internal operations.Excellent organizational,
planning and time management skills.High attention to detail with
the ability to recognize discrepancies.General understanding of
Fixed Price, Time & Materials, Cost Plus and Unit contract pricing
mechanisms.Knowledgeable of the electrical trade and/or general
construction preferred.Knowledgeable of the National Electrical
Code (NEC) preferred.Ability to perform NEC calculations
preferred.Ability to understand construction drawings and contract
documents.Strong communication skills, both written and
verbal.Ability to work on multiple estimates
simultaneously.TravelThere will be travel for off-site meetings,
events, or other business matters.Physical DemandsThe physical
