Winston-Salem is a thriving city known for its arts, culture, and scenic parks, making it a prime destination for North Carolina nursing jobs./n /n/nOncology RN Job Details/n /n - Location: Winston-Salem, NC 27157 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)/n - Facility: Comprehensive Cancer Center – Bone Marrow Transplant Special Care Unit/n - Assignment Length: 13 weeks (8/25/2025 – 11/22/2025)/n - Hours per Week: 40 (full-time travel nurse position)/n - Shift: 12-hour day shifts (6:30am – 7:00pm), every other weekend rotation/n - Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week/n - Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1860 - $2000/n - Scrub Color: Royal Blue/n - Parking: Free, on-site/n /n/nOncology RN Qualifications/n /n - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (North Carolina or compact state)/n - Minimum 2 years of recent Oncology RN experience (Bone Marrow Transplant experience required for first-time travel nurses)/n - BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)/n - Chemo Certification required/n - ONS Chemotherapy Administration Certification/n - NIHSS certification (Resource Team requirement)/n - OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) or BMTCN (Blood and Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse) preferred/n /n/nOncology RN Responsibilities/n /n - Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to oncology and bone marrow transplant patients/n - Perform venipuncture, IV insertion, and central line care/access/n - Administer chemotherapy and blood product transfusions/n - Monitor laboratory values and manage oncology symptoms (nausea, vomiting, mucositis)/n - Implement infection prevention protocols and deliver wound/skin care/n - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team (CNAs, unit secretaries, charge nurses, respiratory therapists)/n - Float within the cancer center and to other med-surg units as needed/n - Utilize Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Philips monitors/n /n/n /n Take the next step in your travel nursing career with this rewarding Oncology RN job in Winston-Salem, NC.
