families in North Carolina. Our residential and community-based
service programs have evolved over the years; however our
commitment to creating miracles in the lives of our clients have
never changed. The House Supervisor at Miracle Houses Inc is
expected to: Oversee the daily operations of the residential homes'
activities and care. Coordinate care, staffing patterns, budgets,
and environments that support the treatment philosophy. Participate
as part of the multidisciplinary team to provide the best care
possible for the children and families in the program. Support the
establishment and maintenance of trauma-informed, evidence-based,
and data driven practices as Miracle Houses Inc evolves as a
learning organization. CHILD TREATMENT & DEVELOPMENT Must adhere to
the Agency philosophy and mission statement In collaboration with
treatment team, develop specific treatment goals for each child.
Attend and/or lead treatment team meetings and coordinate care with
members of child's team. Develop, write, update, and implement
treatment plans, monthly progress summaries, utilize assessment
tools and oversee the implementation of the relationship-based
philosophy in collaboration with Therapist and Clinical Manager.
Develop specific treatment objectives for the house in relation to
the overall treatment goals as it relates to discharge planning and
returning to family, school, and community. Communicate with each
child their goals and objectives in conjunction with their
treatment plan. Ensure child's needs for special services are
addressed with the Treatment Team and Clinical Manager. Develop
uniform, quality group experiences within the residential program
Observe children to detect indication of problems in physical and
mental behavior Assist in the coordination of all children visits
with the client's assigned Clinical Manager Participate and
document weekly treatment team meetings Represent the house in all
appropriate meetings as basic treatment goals are developed with
the child, family, referring agencies in order to re-evaluate,
revise, and/or update during the child's time in residential care.
EMPLOYEE & HOUSE SUPERVISION Review applications and participate in
screening of applicants Employ and supervise direct care staff
members ensuring that supervision and training is appropriately
documented to remain in compliance with state mental health policy
and competency requirements Train and develop staff members in
program philosophy including continuous expression of the value of
structure, engagement, nurture, and challenge. Set staff goals and
objectives and review and evaluate job performances Determine work
procedures and mange house schedules in conjunction with Lead
Direct Care Staff and Clinical Manager Maintain work relations and
resolve grievances Expected to maintain professionalism and act
with integrity to protect the interests and reputation of Miracle
Houses Inc. Provide clinical supervision to direct care staff and
carry our personnel action when necessary Actively communicate the
needs of the house with other departments within the agency.
Communicate with external agencies and personnel as needed. Oversee
the physical condition of the house in collaboration in conjunction
with Operations Director Professionally carry out duties assigned
by the Clinical Manager and Operations Director Coordinate training
and on-the-job shadowing activities for new hires Transport
children in agency vehicles off campus PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Will
frequently perform a wide variety of physical tasks such as
standing, walking, running, stooping, bending, climbing stairs and
lifting individuals, which requires strength, coordination,
endurance, and agility. In addition, there may be occasional
interactions with hostile individuals and incumbents may be
subjected to physical and verbal abuse while restraining children
and adolescents. The employee must maintain sufficient emotional
control, physical agility, and stamina to intervene with violent
children and adolescents and must be able to exert the minimum
necessary strength to initiate physical intervention. Persons with
any medical problems such as joint problems, obesity, arthritis or
cardiopulmonary conditions where it would be unwise or not possible
to engage in moderate physical exertion should not be considered.
Additional Requirements The incumbent must be teachable and willing
to learn. Must have a valid NC driver's license with a good driving
record. Must be able to demonstrate effective self-regulation
strategies. Educational Requirements High School Diploma or GED is
required Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field
preferred Minimum of two years population specific experience
