Job Description Network Technician Location: Charlotte, NC
(Hybrid) Duration: 12 Month Contract Pay: $40-50/hr W2 W2 ONLY, NO
C2C Job Summary: The Network Staging & Inventory Technician is
responsible for supporting networking initiatives through hands-on
staging, configuration, inventory management, and preparation of
network equipment for deployment. This role works closely with
engineers, field technicians, warehouse personnel, implementation
coordinators and IT project teams to ensure equipment is accurately
configured, documented, labeled, and shipped in compliance with
safety and operational standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform
racking and stacking of network equipment, including routers,
switches, and related telecommunications hardware. Load Cisco
configuration files onto network devices in accordance with
engineering standards. Troubleshoot connectivity and configuration
issues to support engineers during staging activities. Unbox, box,
shrink-wrap, and prepare equipment for shipment, coordinating
closely with warehouse personnel. Ensure all staged equipment is
properly labeled and documented prior to deployment. Assist with
and maintain accurate inventory management, including tracking
staged materials and updating inventory systems. Receive IT and
telecom equipment, track purchase order status, and maintain
accurate inventory counts. Support configuration processes for
equipment used by Controls and Corporate Teams. Assist in
maintaining an organized, efficient, and complaint staging lab
environment. Provide basic technical assistance and training to
system users when required. Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong working knowledge of network fundamentals and
telecommunications equipment. Experience with Cisco products,
configuration loading, and basic network troubleshooting.
Familiarity with inventory warehousing and asset management
processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking and
inventory documentation. Ability to follow technical procedures and
document work accurately. Strong communication skills and ability
to collaborate across multiple teams. Ability to work independently
with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks. Physical &
Work Requirements: Ability to perform physical labor, including
lifting, racking, and stacking equipment. Comfortable working in a
staging lab and warehouse environment. Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in a network staging lab or IT operations
environment. Exposure to enterprise networking or cybersecurity
infrastructure. Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA) are a plus.
